It's about time

Oh my goodness we are getting no help in blogging at all. Mom says she is busy with her 5 college classes. Then last week she went into the dollar general and applied for a job. The manager hired her right there but they have to do a background check and mom hasn't heard anything back from them. She is going around the house saying they probably don't want her to work now but it would be nice if they told her that.

Anyway we missed blogging about Flash's adoption day last week and he is complaining about the fact that he hasn't been able to blog in forever so mom promised to help him on friday.

Now on to what you all want to hear about My mortal enemy. Okay well mom says it is more of my nemesis but I like mortal enemy better so that is what I go with. Now you all know how I can open almost anything. The fridge (which is why there is a babylock on it). The oven and the broiler. I can open doors sometimes also. Well mom and dad had the trash can on top of the fridge but my boy couldn't reach it and was leaving trash just whenever. Then they put it in the laundry room but even with a baby guard on the door knob I would sometimes get it open and help myself. So mom went searching for trash cans. She bought this thing.

Now we've had it for a little while and I hate it. I wouldn't even allow her to put up a picture of the real one that resides in our house. It is awful. I can not get that thing open no matter how hard I try. Mom actually laughs at me now when I try. Let me tell you. I am not happy. I am not happy at all. My goal is to get into this trash can and get the yummy goodness inside but so far it hasn't worked.

Okay mom is making me put a link to the trash can. Here it is. Oh and she also wanted to point out that it comes with stuff to anchor it to a wall but she hasn't used that and I still can't get it open. She says it was really expensive but it was worth every penny. I think she should have spent her money on something else.

Shameful

We were visiting our friends Cooper and Dozer and what they posted about we find just shameful. So we've copied their post below since they explain it very well.

Shameful Website - Cooper's Rant

I was just reading the Pet Connection blog and came upon a website they were discussing http://bringyourdoganywhere.com/ where you can pay big bucks to have your dog "certified" as a Service Dog so you can take your dog into places that normally do not allow animals (Post Office, restaurants, stores, etc). And people are buying this "certification" so they can get an animal vest and patches for $365.00. And they tell you right up front that they don't provide any training and you self-administer a "test" to determine if your dog is a Service Dog. This is just a way that you can circumvent the law.

Now I realize that I am an older dog and you young pups may think I am set in my ways, but this is not a "service", it is a disservice to the many wonderful dogs that train and provide service to all the people in the world who really need it. To buy a fake vest just so you can take your pet into the shoe store because it is more convenient for you is shameful.

I've gotten myself a little hot under the collar so Mum says I need to go have a little nap while she figures out how to contact these folks and in a nice way give them a piece of her mind. (I love it when Mum gets a burr under her butt and gets her Thesaurus out to tell folks six ways to Sunday how naughty they are!)

Now I would just knock the babygate over and be on my way to where I want to go.

Well she left us

The woman keeps talking about her vacation. How can she leave us when we just got dad back? We do know she's leaving Wednesday but that is all the info we have.
We are off to do some more investigating as to where she is going and for how long.

The best birthday present ever

Today mom is about 987 years old. Oh wait that is Grammie. haha Mom is only about 456 years old. She says she got the best birthday present ever a day early. It isn't our birthday but we think it's a pretty darn good present for all of us.
