Dad left today

Well today is a very sad day here in the house. Dad left today to go to Iraq. The kids and Mom are handling it as well as can be expected. Flash and I are very sad also. We will all miss Dad.

I won't have to put up with this anymore. This picture is from just last night in fact.

but I also won't be able to do this

and Flash won't be able to do this

If anyone would be willing to send my dad a christmas card please email me for his address. We think it would be cool for him to get some cards from our friends.
We may not post for a few days but we will be back.

Peanut

update sorry for the confusion as to where my email is located. It is over on the side bar in the about me section.
Thanks everybody

Christmas Cards

We got our first Christmas card yesterday. It was from Comet and Blu and is so cool. They did it by hand and mom says she feels lazy now since she didn't do that.
Mom thought it would be funny to put it on my backside.

Then she hung it on a wall in our living room. She says they are all going to go up there. Comet and Blu are lonely up there right now though.

Our kids kept looking at the picture and saying how much Comet looked like Kiko. They liked that a lot. We can't wait to get more cards and have our friends get ours.

My Birthday

Okay so my birthday was not that exciting. Mom and Dad didn't even give me presents or a cake or anything. No card but they did give me these.

MMMMMM Sardines. I got a whole lb of them all to myself but they made me sit and wait for them just like they do for my food everyday.

Flash is waiting for his dinner to but he didn't get yummy sardines. He got Kibble (which mom was feeding us at grandma careen's because it was easier with her dogs there to and she is still feeding us I think she needs to get back to the raw myself)
Here is me with a sardine. Those suckers are whole ones. They were good good good.

I did get one present though. Grammie sent me this

and of course it has our lovely friend Cubby in it. He's Mr. October.

I can't wait until 2008 so I can use it.

It's another Birthday

but this time it's Peanut. He's 4 today. So I thought for this special day I would humiliate myself by showing you all the pictures of me with antlers on my head. I am going to be nice and not make fun of Peanut also. Our thanksgiving was nice. Peanut and I got to split the turkey neck and the the giblets. They were good.
So on to the pictures. I hope you all enjoy them. Peanut will be back tomorrow to tell you about his birthday.?
Check out that tongue. Nice huh

Look at them aren't they awful?

Here I am totally depressed they are making me wear these things.

and last but not least. I shook one of the antlers totally off the headband. haha serves them right.

Wanted to say

Thanksgiving Myspace Graphics
Thanksgiving Myspace Graphics

We hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving has a lovely day and for those that don't we hope your day is just as nice. We are spending today with just mom, our kids, and of course Dad. I already helped him load the dishwasher this morning though he didn't seem to appreciate it.

Flash will here tomorrow with a picture of him in Antlers.

a few random things

Here are some pictures of me with the garland mom made me wear for the holiday card picture. Flash has antlers on in the picture so he is worse off then me. I do think Blue might be my color though.

Mom got a new computer. She got a dell laptop. It's green. She's very happy with it. She took some pictures of it on top of Dad's laptop to show everyone the size difference. She thinks dad's is to big but dad says his is perfect for playing the games he likes.

Our friend Marvin. who loves my Grammie, gave us this award.

It's the Be the Blog award which is "This award is presented to a successful blogger, one who can "be the blog" - making it their own, staying with it, interacting with the readers and just plain having fun."
So thanks so much Marvin. We are very honored that you gave us this award. We don't know who hasn't gotten it but we want to give it to everyone we visit. We love you all.

Also just so you all know there was some talk about how young my grammie looked. She gave me permission to say she is in the latter half of her 50's. :) That was my real Grammie since Randi thought I might have posted a picture of an imposter.

And last but not least our friend Cubby was tagged for this game where you
open the current book you're reading to page 161 and post to your blog the 6th line, as well as posting that same line as a post in the sender's blog in the form of a comment. We thought we would play. So did Grammie in fact so I am posting her line for her here.

Grammie's book is
In the Presence of the Enemy by Elizabeth George. The line is ...laugh at Helen's look of astonishment at his powers of....

Mom's books is
Being Committed by Anna Maxted. The line is I returned to the office, apologetic.

If anyone wants to play go right ahead.

Sorry the font is all weird in this post, mom did something to it and can't fix it. I think that is it for now. See you all later.

A Grammie among other things

Hey eveybody it's me Flash. Yep it's Friday and I am back. I know you are all so excited to hear from me.

I want to point out that I think Peanut is a whiner about the size of the yard. I mean yeah it isn't huge but please if he didn't have freakishly long legs the yard size wouldn't be a problem I don't think.
Oh and it's his 4th birthday next week. I am trying to figure out what I am going to do for him. So any ideas would be good. I thought maybe I just wouldn't make fun of him for the day. That seems like a good present don't you think? Now in all seriousness I do love Peanut but geez he's the one always doing stupid stuff like the flour thing and getting in trouble.
Okay since Peanut's been filling you all in on what's been going on here there isn't much else to say but to no further ado here is the picture of our Grammie. This was taken by our girl while she spent the day with Grammie helping her watch our Uncle Sean's girls. Oh and we've also included a picture of our Auntie Shalon that our girl also took. We love you Grammie and Auntie Shalon. You are the best.

Another birthday and what I did

So today is our boy's 7th birthday. It seems like just yesterday I was just a pup and he was 3 and biting me on the ear. :) Here he is with his present from Grammie and Pappy which he opened first thing when he got up this morning.
So mom got rid of our kennels when we moved because they were the big plastic airline kind and she hated them. She is now regretting it. She thought maybe I wouldn't need one as I've been being good when they leave. Well mom went grocery shopping this morning and Dad came home for lunch to this.
Now mom has figured out tupperware containers are not dog proof. I tried to blame it on Flash but dad figured out it was me when he looked at me. Mom says besides Flash isn't tall enough to get on the counters.
So they are going to be buying me a kennel. If anyone knows of a place to get one kind of cheap (really just less expensive then normal) let mom know. They say they don't think Flash needs one though. I beg to differ if I'm in one he should be also.

There is a birthday

Okay so today is our girls 12th birthday. Man she is getting old. Here she is this morning after opening her present from Grammie and Pappy. She was super excited.
So here are the long awaited for pictures of my tiny yard. Now let me tell you I had mom (who is a shorty at 5'3" though not as short as Grammie) see how many steps it took her to walk across the yard. For her to go from the concrete section by the shed, which as you can see has stuff on it, to the end of the fence only took her 12 steps. To go from the house to the fence the other way only took her 6. We are dying here I tell you. As you can see when Flash and I are in the yard together we almost take it up. Plus there is tons of grass all around. If only they would have fenced some of that for us we could have had a huge yard like we did in Kentucky. Mom is finally starting to feel good enough to maybe walk us. She says tomorrow when Dad goes back to work so we will see.

Note for Wally and Stanley: we have found a picture of grammie on our girl's camera as soon as mom finds the cord, we will post the picture.

Back online

WOO HOO we are finally back online at our house. So we are catching up with all your blogs and will be posting pictures of our new house in the next couple of days. I will show you all my tiny yard so those of you with big ones can feel sorry for me.
Mom got sick but is feeling better and Dad is off work for a few days so we are going to be hanging out with him.
Plus my kid's birthdays are next week and then mine is the 23rd. Then Dad will be leaving sometime after that. Don't know when exactly and couldn't say even if I did. I expect you all to keep blogging and making me and mom laugh to help cheer us up once dad leaves. Oh and for tanner to keep blogging to as his blogs make my kids laugh a ton. My boy always asks did the doofus blog? haha sorry tanner but it's the truth.
Out of here for now. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hey everybody

Hey everybody
Sorry I haven't posted. We have been in louisiana about a week. Mom got a speeding ticket in Texas
We were having trouble getting the cable company out to hook us up so mom decided to go with the phone company instead and it should be turned on in a few days. We are borrowing the neighbors signal right now (and yes they know we are)
We have a tiny little yard that is no bigger then my foot I think. But mom says we will be getting out for walks soon. Hope to catch up with you all asap.

Peanut who thinks this moving thing stinks.

Grammie update

Okay just wanted to update you all on grammie. She came home and is doing well. I know she is a very popular grammie and lots of you worry about her. Just remember she was my grammie first. hahaha

We are off to Louisiana tomorrow. Mom says it will take 3 or 4 days depending on how much she can drive in a day. Hopefully we can be back online for good within a week and a half or so.

Will let you all know when we arrive safely and are with Dad again.
Bye for now

Grammie, moving and Thanks

Okay first off. Mom talked to Pappy earlier and Grammie was in the recovery room doing well. Her gallbladder is no longer with her. She should be home in a couple hours Pappy said.

Second, Dad got us a house in Louisiana. So we are all leaving Saturday. Well almost all of us. Our one cat Raven became an inside-outside cat while staying at Grandma Careen's and hasn't been seen by any of us in about a week. She has been spotted by the neighbors up the road running around their property but won't come to anyone when they call her. So if she doesn't show up at Grandma's before we go she will just get to stay here in Oregon. Mom and the kids don't like it but she would have to go back to being an inside only cat in Louisiana and she probably wouldn't want that. We are taking the big fat cat I can't stand though. Geez I think mom should leave him here also but she says no.

Lastly we want to say a big thank you to Hercules for the wonderful blog post he put up on October 8th about my Daddy. It made mom cry. She said they were good tears though. She emailed it to Dad and he said to say "Thank you very much for all the support from everyone."
We are only sorry we were so far behind in posts that we didn't read it until yesterday.

So hopefully we can get our internet hooked up asap when we get to Fort Polk and get back online for good.

Change of Plans

There has been a huge change of plans. Mom, the kids and all us animals will not be living with Grandma Careen. Something went on between her and mom and as soon as we get a house in Louisiana we will be going there with dad and mom says if that doesn't work out then we will at least be moving out of Grandma Careen's house and living here in Oregon by ourselves. . So unfortunately no getting online regularly anytime soon.

Oh and Grammie has to have her gallbladder out on Wednesday so think about her then.

Hope everyone hasn't forgotten me.

Peanut

HUGE NEWS

Okay we know we have been terrible about keeping up with everyone's blog. But hey we've been on vacation. We have some huge huge news. Mom and the kids and all us animals are going to be staying in Oregon and living with Grandma Careen. Mom said something about paying off bills but they we don't care that means we will be close to Grammie and Pappy and get to share a house with Beautiful and Newman that much longer.
Dad is leaving us next Sunday to go to Louisiana and then will be gone to Iraq by the end of November.
We sure are going to miss him but at least this way we will have family around while he is gone instead of being stuck down there and not knowing anyone.

We are going to be getting high speed internet up at Grandma Careen's within the next couple of weeks we hope so we will be able to update and keep in touch better.

Later Taters,
Peanut and Flash

What What What is happening?

Okay so not much exciting news at all. We are still hanging out at Grandma Careen's house. Mom and Dad and the kids leave and don't take us with them. They go places without us. How wrong is that? Well Mom did leave and took Flash and when he came back he had had a haircut. He looks quite funny I think and I will post a picture of that later. We are still having fun playing with Newman and Beautiful though. Oh and the other day Grammie and Pappy came up to Grandma Careen's just to see me I swear. It was quite nice.
I thought I would leave you with these pictures of my Aunt Moco (she's the little black one) and my Uncle Foley roaching in their backyard. We thought Wally would like these pictures.

pics for the humans

It's the Mom here. I thought I would include some of the pictures we took of some scenic things we saw on the trip out here to Oregon. We didn't stop much. We made it in 3 days which is pretty good with two cats, two dogs, two kids and a turtle. We stopped and stayed at a Motel 6 in Kearney Nebraska that gave us a half price military discount. Which is always nice. Peanut and Flash were amazingly good. :)

Here is the Missouri River

Here is an arch in Nebraska. It was neat and the picture isn't very good so check it out here

Here is a little store in Utah we stopped at. The old guy running it had to close up to go down the street and run the gas station. :)

The sunset.

The Multnomah Falls here in Oregon. We've got more pictures to share later but thought we would start you guys off with these.

Pics and more pics

hey everybody how is it going? We are having tons of fun up at Grandma Careen's house. She has lots of room for us to run around and we get to hang out with Newman and Beautiful. Here are some pictures of us on our trip. Mom says she will put up the scenic pictures soon. You know those ones the humans want to see. We did get to see Grammie. She came up to Grandma Careen's and saw us. Mom delivered the Wally magnet to her also.

Here I am in the car at a stop.

Here is Flash at the same stop. I don't know what he's doing with his tongue.

Here are the cats in the back of the jeep. Sorry suckers had to be in cages. hahahahaha

This is me shoving my nubbie into our girl's neck. I liked to ride like this. She said it wasn't very comfortable.

This is Beautiful(yes that is her name). She decided our girl was a comfortable place to sleep. Our girl didn't even wake up or notice.

This is Flash and Newman. Newman loves the water and can swim for hours. I think he's a little touched in the head. Water is evil.

More pictures in another post asap.

We Made It

Hey everybody I wanted to let you all know we made it to Oregon. I will post more later but didn't want any of you to worry about us.
