Grammie, moving and Thanks

Okay first off. Mom talked to Pappy earlier and Grammie was in the recovery room doing well. Her gallbladder is no longer with her. She should be home in a couple hours Pappy said.

Second, Dad got us a house in Louisiana. So we are all leaving Saturday. Well almost all of us. Our one cat Raven became an inside-outside cat while staying at Grandma Careen's and hasn't been seen by any of us in about a week. She has been spotted by the neighbors up the road running around their property but won't come to anyone when they call her. So if she doesn't show up at Grandma's before we go she will just get to stay here in Oregon. Mom and the kids don't like it but she would have to go back to being an inside only cat in Louisiana and she probably wouldn't want that. We are taking the big fat cat I can't stand though. Geez I think mom should leave him here also but she says no.

Lastly we want to say a big thank you to Hercules for the wonderful blog post he put up on October 8th about my Daddy. It made mom cry. She said they were good tears though. She emailed it to Dad and he said to say "Thank you very much for all the support from everyone."
We are only sorry we were so far behind in posts that we didn't read it until yesterday.

So hopefully we can get our internet hooked up asap when we get to Fort Polk and get back online for good.

  1. Good luck with your move. I hope your cat is happy running around at your grammies, and remembers to come back for cuddles now and then.

  11. Peanut, I hope you have a super safe trip to Louisiana. I'm sad you won't have your cat Raven with you to make the trip but it sounds like he'll be OK in Oregon.

I read Hercules tribute to your Dad to my Mom & it made her eyes leak. He's so brave & we'll be praying everyday that he is safe while he's in Iraq. I have my special Peanut Dog Tag that I will smooch everyday as well for good luck.

And I'm glad Grammie is OK...I'm sure you are too.

    Be Safe!!

Good luck with the move..everything will go OK...sorry your kitty has to stay behind..but sometimes kittys just have to put their paw down & make their own decisions...guess she's made hers..

Your dad is so brave! I can't even imagine all the sacrifices every soldier has to make to serve. Sending him big wet goober smooches wherever he is!
