Need some help

Hey everybody it's me Flash. I need some help.
See me in all my innocence?

Don't I look handsome and angelic? Well mom says most of the time I am but she is making me ask for help in the area of walking me. I am a puller. There I said it. I yank on the leash and on mom and give her hands these lovely stripes of blood spots under the skin after we are done. I hurt her shoulder and neck and then she has to recover before she can walk us again. I know you are all thinking "but not Flash he's the little guy". Well I may look little next to Peanut but I'm 60 lbs of stockiness, muscle, big head and loose neck skin. My neck size is actually the same size as Peanuts.
So she is looking at getting me something to help with the pulling.
Here is what she is looking at

Gentle Leader Head Collar
Illusion Dog collar
or maybe one of Patiences Martingale Collars because it says they discourage pulling and they can be cool looking (but mom is a little afraid she wouldn't get the fit right with the rings and such)
So if any of you have used these and can give us some feedback please do. I would love to go on more walks and not rip mom's arm out of the socket in the process and then maybe one day she could walk Peanut and I together but that might be asking to much. Oh maybe if someone knows of a leash with a padded hand grip that would be good also.

Oh and the boy is doing much better. He has swimmer's ear and is on medication. He was in much pain but it is gone now.

Mom is a big weenie. She didn't stay up all night last night with the blogathoners . She only made it until 3 am our time, 4 eastern or 1 pacific. She did wake up in time to catch the last post at 8 our time though. We want to say that we think a great job was done by all. I won lots of stuff too. Woo hoo for me.

wordless wednesday -I love my boy

The stupid canines are off at some party for some other canine today so I thought I would take over the blog and let you all know how I am doing.

A month ago I had to go to the VET because mom was worried about me because I was not eating. She said anytime I do not eat it is cause for concern. They do not call me the Fatman for nothing you know. I tell you those VET people are not nice. They shaved some of the fur off my front legs. Wrapped me in a towel and drained my blood. They gave me a shot and still didn't figure out what was wrong with me. So I went through all of that for nothing. Needless to say when I got home I started eating and was fine. Sometimes you just have to shake your humans up a bit.

I won this lovely award from Wilbur.

So thanks man. You are a cool cat also and you know your two beasts are furrier then mine. Since the big stupid one isn't that furry in this house. I do not think yours are quite as stupid though. So that may be lucky for you.
I don't know many cats to give this award to and no dog on earth deserves it so I will pass it on to my aunt Clara and uncle Edgar. They are truly cool cats for putting up with those 3 dogs they live with. Not to mention the crazy old lady and the big fire monkey.
Note to pappy and grammie: I, shelby, did not call you a crazy old lady or a big fire monkey. That was mother. You can ground her when you get here.

Now if you all recall my most intense hatred is for the big stupid dog since he is the one that bothers me the most. Well mom got him a cage as you all know since he has been whining about it. I like to do this


to further agitate him because he hates going in there even more knowing I go in and lay around in there. hahahahahaha It is more comfortable with all the blankets and pillows that have been added since those pictures. I will have to get mom to take a picture of me snoozing in there and post it later

Lastly my mom took the boy to a gator farm. He had a ton of fun and even got to hold a little gator.

Someone is a drama king

I'm not naming names or anything but someone is a big drama king. Complaining about his kennel, showing you the pictures of it before all his blankets and pillows got in there. Just being a big baby about the whole thing when someone is only put in there if mom leaves the house and since we know that hardly ever happens someone is hardly ever put in there.
Not naming any names just saying someone needs to quit being a big old baby.

Flash is a big dork

He really is. Here is the proof. Mom was going to take a shower and the dork got into the bathtub and then wouldn't get out.

Mom had to actually pick him up out of the bathtub. I told mom if he wanted to be in the bathtub that bad she should have given him a bath but she didn't.
Not much is going on here. My mom is dull and now that she is not feeling so good she isn't doing anything but laying around. But on a brighter note she hasn't done the dishes so I am having fun getting up there and licking the plates. YUMMY Of course I get yelled at but it's all worth it.

Mom's a major dork

Who else but my mother would scrape the inside of her ear and give herself an infection. Yep you read that right.
3 days ago when mom was washing her face she got her finger caught in an earring and ripped the earring out and scraped the inside of her ear. Well today she woke up with a lump behind her ear that hurt so she went to the human VET today and he told her where she scraped her ear had gotten infected and that is why her limpy node thingie behind her ear was infected also. He said he was amazed that her actual ear didn't hurt because it didn't look to good.
I have told you all the woman needs help. This just proves it. Now she is on AntyBeeotics or some such thing and has to take 80 of them. 2 of them at a time 4 times a day.

I just hope she survives until dad makes it home.

a note to Grammie

To my wonderful Grammie,

Mother has informed me that you and Pappy are going to be bringing my girl back to me before school starts. She informed me that this means you and pappy would be staying with us for a few days. I would like to respectfully ask you if maybe you could bring me some treats and toys because mom is a big cheapo and never buys us anything.
