About time
I got to blog again. Geez it's been forever. My mom was lazy lazy lazy. She needs to get off her bum I think.
Oh and no pictures of the lovely piggy collar I got from The Whippets. Mom says she can't get a good one because I move to much and am to furry. Let me tell you it is striking on me though. I look very handsome in it.
We would love it if you all went over and said Hi to our friends Jackson,Remi and Fatty Bear. They are taking a long trip from here in Louisiana to Michigan in a few days until their dad comes home from Iraq. Peanut and I have said hi to Jackson through the fence when he gets out of his own yard and runs up here and Peanut met Remi and didn't try to eat him (mom thinks that might be because he is a puppy). We, of course, have met their kids and mom and let me tell you that is one crazy kooky family but hey we like them that way and we know our boy is really going to miss his friends when they leave.
Oh man I have to go Peanut is barking at me again for no reason and I need to get away from him. He is so annoying.

Who is this from?
This is what came in the mail yesterday. Treats from Cole Valley treats. Cookies and Jerky and we have no idea who sent it to us. So fess up people. We really really like it though. YUMMY

Collars and look what mom found.
We got the wonderful collars we posted yesterday from The Waggle of Whippets and their servant Patience. Patience makes wonderful collars you can order here. Mom has been wanting that piggy collar for forever and every time she thinks she has money to order one something else comes up. We were so happy and surprised yesterday when we got the package. So this is a huge thank you to them for making us look so stylish and mom so happy. :) :)
Here is a picture of me in my new collar. Flash said he would like to post pictures of himself in his on Flash Friday. I think the colors of mine go so well with my fur. What do you all think?

I was not happy and the little guy had to go down to mom's friends house because I tried to eat him. Yes I did and I am only kind of sorry. Then when mom put him in my girl's room I tried to break down her door to get to him. I am not to fond of little dogs. I once had a little dog bite me and since then I can sometimes be not nice with them. But I am happy to say that as of this posting Mojo is back with his family. Seems one of his kids let him out. At least I don't have to try to eat him anymore. It is very stressful you know.
Also we got another surprise package today. I will post about that one tomorrow.

Hey
We made it through the night okay. Our electricity stayed on. The tornado siren went off a couple times but if there were tornadoes they went somewhere else. We are still having lots of wind and a little rain.
Mom did wake up this morning and looked out the window and saw this
Yes, that is a tree on dad's truck. The housing people came and cut it up and got it off the truck.
Mom checked it out and there are no dents and some smudge marks but they go away when she wipes them off. So we think we got really lucky on that one.
We hope all our friends are okay.

It's Friday
and that means me Flash. I know you are all terribly excited that I am back and posting.
I want to thank you all for the compliments on the picture Peanut posted of me the other day. Our girl took that one. She's a very good photographer. Almost as good as Merv.
Nothing much is going on here. Our kids did not have school today as it was canceled because of Hurricane Ike. So far we have gotten a little rain and wind. Though it isn't really supposed to hit until later. We are under a tropical storm warning. Mom's weather channel desktop gizmo keeps updating her and right now it says this. (I know it's a lot but am putting it up anyway). Oh and here in Louisiana they have Parishes instead of counties and Vernon is the one we live in.

We are all prepared in case it gets worse though. As before if something happens we will let Grammie and Moco know and hopefully they will update their blog. Mom says they really didn't put this army base in a good spot in you have to keep worrying about hurricanes and how close you actually are to the coast. I agree with her.
There is talk of a tornado that happened about 20 minutes from here but mom has not verified that because she has not been watching the news since our boy has hijacked the TV and is playing the Xbox.
And on a funnier note. I am sharing this picture of Peanut that was taken when we were in Oregon. It cracks me and mom up. We don't know if we've shown it before but we don't care if we have.
Look at him. hahahaha It is to funny.

Little bit of nothing
That is what is going on around here. Nothing, Nothing, nothing. I don't have anything to talk about really.
They did come fix our air conditioning. We have geo thermal a/c and they had to come give us a whole new a/c unit because ours was so dirty that air couldn't get through it so it was freezing up. The guy said the old one was probably as old as the house. The new one works better so I am not going to die because of the heat now.
Mom says we are keeping an eye on Ike and hoping it doesn't come here. Well we wish it would just go away and not go anywhere but we know that isn't going to happen. So we are thinking of all the people who have already been hit by it and anyone who may be in it's path.
Here is me telling my girl it was time for dinner. Please ignore the mess on the floor my mom never cleans.

Our a/c is broken
It broke last night. They were supposed to come fix it. They didn't. Mom called them this morning. They are still not here. I might die. Thank dogness that when Grammie was here she bought us fans. I am going to go lay in front of it now.
Note from mom: yes the a/c is broken but right now it is only 74 degrees. Peanut is in no danger of dying.

We are fine
We got wind and rain but that's it. We never even lost power. It's still raining and supposed to for a few days. Plus we have to watch for tornadoes. Though I tell you guys that having to go out and pee when the wind is trying to knock you over isn't to fun.
We hope Ike and Josephine go away and that Hanna doesn't hurt the east coast to badly.
Our thoughts go out to anyone who lost their homes or loved ones.

Gustav go away
We wanted to say sorry for not visiting everyone the past couple of days. Mom has been running around making sure we have supplies and food and everything we might need to get through this stupid hurricane. As of now they have him coming right towards us on tuesday but we all know how these things can change.
We will try and update everyone when and if we can. But if we can't and we can get a call out we will be contacting Grammie and Moco. So she will probably post updates there.
Okay mom says I have to get off of here because she can't help me type since she has to go make sure all the laundry is done since the last time a big storm came through (Hurricane Rita by the way) they say the power went out for a week and a half. If we lose power for a week and a half we all might just die without our air conditioning. No one in this family is meant to deal with the heat.

Mom's in love
and it's not with dad. It also means we are getting neglected. She is in love with this guy
and he stars in some show called Law and Order Criminal Intent. Well she found out she can watch seasons one through five online through netflix. So she spends most of the day watching them and she's only on season two. Then she's talking about getting season 6 and 7 on dvd when she's done with season 5. She is also going around whining because the last episode for this season is going to be played on Sunday. I can't figure out why she's watching episodes she has already seen but she says they are worth watching again and besides she hasn't seen them all.
I don't know that Flash and I will make it through the amount of neglect we are having to endure. Someone HELP.

How are you?
Everything is good here. Our kids went back to school on the 8th so mom ran around getting everything ready for them this last week.
Plus mom is going to be going to college online starting in September so she was trying to get a hold of the advisors so she could figure out what classes she has to take and she had to take her placement test last monday.
Flash and I have been doing nothing. Just hanging out.
Oh mom has bones Grammie left us. I'm out of here for now.
Oh yeah for those of you who read mom's blog. She made it private so if you didn't get an invite to view it please email her at peanutarmydog @ yahoo . com and let her know. She thinks she got everyone but might have missed someone.

Stuff
We haven't been around the past few days because we had some exciting stuff going on here. My girl came home from Grammie and Pappy's and some visitors bearing treats came with her.
Do most of you know who this is?
That's right it is everyones favorite Grammie. I was trying to see if she would give me any of the blueberries she had in that cup. But she didn't. Mom said it wasn't a big deal since I'd had some with dinner but more would have been better.
Here is Flash hanging out on the couch with Pappy.
They left today so it's back to just being both my kids and mom in the house. We have 250 blog posts to catch up on. So we will try and do that this week.
