There is a birthday

Okay so today is our girls 12th birthday. Man she is getting old. Here she is this morning after opening her present from Grammie and Pappy. She was super excited.
So here are the long awaited for pictures of my tiny yard. Now let me tell you I had mom (who is a shorty at 5'3" though not as short as Grammie) see how many steps it took her to walk across the yard. For her to go from the concrete section by the shed, which as you can see has stuff on it, to the end of the fence only took her 12 steps. To go from the house to the fence the other way only took her 6. We are dying here I tell you. As you can see when Flash and I are in the yard together we almost take it up. Plus there is tons of grass all around. If only they would have fenced some of that for us we could have had a huge yard like we did in Kentucky. Mom is finally starting to feel good enough to maybe walk us. She says tomorrow when Dad goes back to work so we will see.

Note for Wally and Stanley: we have found a picture of grammie on our girl's camera as soon as mom finds the cord, we will post the picture.

  1. Yes, its small, but at least you have a yard! Momma always sez, "Don't whine about what you don't have. Be grateful for what you have." She also sez, "It could be worse." We should tell her to shut UP!

Walkies are in order, definately! Often and frequently, not to mention, a LOT of them!

  10. Stop whining you big baby. At least you are not stuck in jail at the pound. I hope the picture that your girl has on her camera does not scare any pups, hammies, other species or hoomans.

  12. ooooooh I am beside myself with excitement, a picture of Grammie! I can't wait!

I only have one Grammie and she lives a zillion miles away, she belongs to my Pa, and only visits me once a year, so may I adopt your Grammie if that's ok!

    Your yard looks ok!

Happy Barkday to your pretty hooooman sisssy!

  13. Peanut!!

I'm catching up here (again), but it's good to see you and Flash running around together at your own house!!! You're both resourceful dogs, so I'm sure you'll find some fun way to make the small yard work to your advantage!

    Goober love & smooches,
    Stanley

  15. Oh no! That yard is so small! Look at all that beautiful grass around the outside of the fence. Maybe your Mom could take you out there a few times a day!
